Be a part of
Pure’s new journey.
Hey y’all, Juli here ~
Wanted to take a minute to re-introduce ourselves.
You probably remember us as Pure Pizza inside the 7th Street Public Market & on Central Avenue.
What a gift it was to be surrounded by an amazing team starting out at 7SPM - Thank You, Jeff (he’s now raising a family with his beautiful wife), Austin (Izzy‘s Pizza), Chris (King of Fire), Geno (Geno Ds) & Jose (Pure: a pizza cafe).
What started out of fear losing my job in the early 2000s recession, bloomed into something beyond my imagination.
Between the two locations, we celebrated birthdays, anniversaries & tears with you - so many life moments.
Hosted lots of pizza making classes.
The biweekly Farmer’s Market in The Barn, started by Pat Ferrell, became a hub for the neighborhood to bring dogs, grab veggies & coffee and connect with neighbors.
The Barn then became Big Love Yoga Barn - another gathering place for community to move and breathe and dance together through yoga, meditation and ecstatic dance.
I am tickled when I recall these memories.
Fast forward through the last 5 years post-Covid, we found a new home in Upper Plaza-Midwood on The Plaza (next door to Tip Top Daily Market).
Thank you so much for supporting us for the last 13 years.
The team opening Pure on The Plaza has all been together between 7 & 12.5 years, so you’ll see familiar faces.
We’re excited & nervous.
Like you, we’re in the midst of a rapidly changing world.
It’s hard, right?
We need Community to help navigate the change we are all experiencing.
We believe Food is Community.
The act, and art, of Breaking-Bread is one of the oldest human traditions.
Something we get to do several times a day.
It has the opportunity to nourish, to slow down time, to be present & to remember our humanity.
I know you have lots of yummy places to choose to nourish yourself in Charlotte.
We’d be honored & delighted for you to come by ~
From the Heart -
Juli
